My family didn't invite me to my sister's wedding, but as I enjoyed the ocean view, she would live stream her ceremony falling apart – begging someone to pick up her 28 missed calls

I wasn't invited to my sister's wedding.
All I got was a vague reply: "I had to shorten the guest list, I hope you understand." No explanation, no apology. Just seven dismissive words.

So I decided to figure it out—from an oceanfront apartment in Barbados. I booked my trip, lit a few candles, cracked open a fresh coconut, and let the island air do its thing. If I wasn't welcome at my sister's ceremony, I'd treat myself to a private celebration away from the chaos.

But on her "special day," while lounging on the balcony, I opened TikTok... and there she was. Emily. In her wedding dress. She was sobbing uncontrollably. Mascara ran down her cheeks like black rain, and her bouquet trembled in her hands.

“Everything’s canceled… why is this happening to me?!” she choked out during the live broadcast. Guests pushed past her, staff ran back and forth. The scene resembled a bomb explosion at a wedding.

My phone started vibrating nonstop. First my mom. Then my dad. Then half the extended family. When I checked, there were 28 missed calls.

Then everything turned upside down.
