Learn how to make the perfect boiled egg!

2. Place the eggs in the pot.
Arrange them in a single layer inside the pot. Do not pile them up to avoid them breaking.

3. Add cold water.
Fill the pot with enough water to cover the eggs by at least 2.5 cm. Do not use hot water! This could cause the eggs to cook unevenly.

4. Bring the water to a boil

Place the pot over medium-high heat until the water begins to boil. But don’t let them boil too long!

5. Control the cooking time.
Depending on your desired level of doneness, here are the ideal times:

Soft-boiled egg (cooked white, runny yolk): 4-5 minutes ⏳
Creamy egg (slightly soft yolk): 7-8 minutes ⏳
Perfectly boiled egg (firm yolk, no gray color): 10-12 minutes ⏳
6. Prepare an ice bath
While the eggs are cooking, fill a bowl with ice water. This will stop them from cooking further and make them easier to peel.
