The Mysterious Sounds of Everest
Many climbers have heard strange and deafening sounds while in the mountains at night. These sounds, often attributed to the "living and angry" mountain, are responsible for the melting of glaciers due to the effects of the sun. When the sun shines, glaciers crack and break away from large ice sheets, creating and generating the noise, an ominous reminder of the effects of global warming.
Yeti tracks and other mysterious creatures
In 1951, mountaineer Eric Shipton discovered mysterious footprints on the slopes of Mount Everest, confirming the existence of the legendary Yeti. The information contained in DNA cannot be extracted from these fingerprints, a fundamental part of the teaching process. The Yeti mystery lives on, fueling the myths and legends of the Himalayan region.
